Yeah so.... The Americans get to make heavy fighters that nearly hit the speed cap for the speed advantage damage bonus on piston engines, and then turn well enough to dogfight too. You can cap it all out with 2x axial engines later. Yeah. NAA is a funny MIO.

@123 My favorite American aviation story is that the P47 was actually built by a Georgan expat (Technically the same nationality as stalin... His name was "Alexander Kartveli" iirc) who left right before Russia entered the first WW. The fattest, chunkiest, heaviest American fighter was made by an exiled Aristocrat from the Russian empire who was having fun drafting the heaviest bullshit in crayons just to see if American industry could build it. Its engines the size of most fighters that went into the war. 10/10, P-47s one of my favorite bits of aviation history.
